ABOUT STEVEN MOLLURA
Who I Am
I became a therapist because I know what it’s like to be broken, afraid, and powerless in ways no one else sees. I know what it’s like to carry grief, rage, self-doubt, and hatred like a millstone around my neck. To look functional on the outside and still feel like I’m drowning.
This work isn’t just another job for me. It’s personal and it always has been.
Before I sat in the therapist’s chair, I spent years in my own shadow, facing the parts of me that lied, ran, lashed out, dissociated, and shut down.
That’s why I can sit with you in the dark without flinching. That’s why I can walk into hell with you, eyes wide open.
Real transformation is messy, sacred, and often brutal. It’s the kind of work that costs something, but gives you your life back. I’m not here to save you. I’m here to walk beside you while you learn how to hold and heal your own soul.
The Interesting Stuff
Enlisted in the Army at 17. Deployed to Iraq at 19. Learned how fucked up it is to be treated like an idiot while being willing to kill, bleed, and die for your country. Honorably discharged in 2013. The Army made me a better man, and a better human being, and I will never put on a uniform again.
I’m a giant nerd and you’ll often find me at anime conventions, because anime and fantasy shaped my life. I grew up on Dragon Ball Z, and I try to embody the lessons about growth, struggle, and becoming who you’re meant to be. I am obsessed with Vtubers and Vtubing, and I’m building toward becoming a mental health-focused VTuber.
I’m a traveling therapist. You’ll see different backgrounds in my video calls because I live what I preach: freedom, depth, connection, and movement. Ask me about my adventures, like spending half a year doing full-time van life, mostly in Florida, in the depths of summer, without air conditioning. Or the the anime rave in Shibuya with pornstars I met that morning. Or guest speaking on a panel in Costa Rica. Or that time a storm tried to kill me at a metal festival.
Raised Catholic which taught me to fear my desires and see my doubts as moral failures. Rejected it all and swung hard into militant atheism. Now I’m neither. Ask me how religion was used to carve fear into my bones, and how I finally learned to accept my own desires, humanity, and story.

ABOUT THE COUNSELING PRACTICE
What a Session Looks Like
We meet one-on-one over video. Individual sessions are 50 to 60 minutes. I also offer 2- to 4-hour intensives, depending on the depth and timeline of treatment that you want.
A session with me isn’t passive. We work. I track what’s underneath your words, the split parts, the protective masks, the shame you’ve learned to hide even from yourself.
We slow down and cut through the noise. We follow the tension, the discomfort, the moments where something in you wants to bolt. That’s where the gold is, and I’ll hold you there until it transforms you.
Sometimes we’ll sit in silence.
Sometimes you’ll rage.
Sometimes a part of you will speak that hasn’t had a voice in years.
My Tools (aka Modalities)
I blend depth psychology, shadow work, parts work, existential therapy, and trauma-informed care. If you want the big fancy psychology words: my primary theoretical orientations are Existential and Psychodynamic. But at the end of the day, I don’t follow a script. I follow what’s alive in the room, and I follow you to it.
ARE WE A GOOD FIT FOR EACH OTHER?
My practice is rooted in deep respect and ethical integrity. I choose to work with clients who share these values, regardless of income, occupation, or background. Just to be clear, I don’t justify my clinical decisions or business practices. I don’t work with people who are ‘just shopping around’ or ‘trying therapy out.’ My work is deep, direct, and transformative. If you’re not ready for that, it’s best we don’t begin
This is for you if:
You’re emotionally intelligent but stuck in looping patterns you can’t logic your way out of.
You’ve been called "too intense," "too sensitive," or "too much", and you're ready to claim that power instead of shrink from it.
You don’t want to be saved. You want to be witnessed, confronted, and freed.
You’re ready to find your fangs
You’re someone who values ethical behavior, personal growth, and a life of purpose beyond profit
Therapy with me is not for everyone.
I genuinely will not be a good fit for you and your therapy goals:
If you’re unwilling to look inward deeply
If you expect therapy to “fix” you without your active participation
If you refuse to take responsibility for your actions, dodge emotional work, or blame others without reflection
If you cannot clearly express what you want out of session, cannot generate goals, or treat therapy as something to “try out”
If your life revolves solely around chasing money, status, or power, with no awareness or interest of how your actions affect others

I accept payments in USD, JPY, British Pound, Bitcoin, XRP, Satoshi, to make mental health care more accessible to clients worldwide. By offering these currency options, I aim to remove financial barriers and ensure that everyone, regardless of their location or preferred method of payment, can get services.
I do hold all clients accountable for no-show fees except in emergencies. Emergencies are threats to life, limb, eyesight, other people, and property. It is not the babysitter did not show up. It is not I got called in to work. My time is incredibly valuable, and I also invest a significant amount of money in software that sends reminder emails and texts to help prevent missed sessions. When an appointment is missed, that time could have been used to support another client who genuinely needed it.
If you are a first responder, military, or work in certain professions that require being on call, we can create a custom plan so that missed sessions due to work crises are not charged.
