Personality and Politics: Healing the Divide

A counseling group for those exhausted by polarization

Purpose

We live in an age where political disagreement too often turns into hatred, contempt, and even violence. The purpose of this group is simple:

  • To stop hating each other just because we disagree.

  • To understand how personality shapes political beliefs and worldviews.

  • To recognize how disgust responses and emotional triggers fuel division.

  • To practice new ways of listening, understanding, and connecting.

  • To build resilience so that we don’t destroy our relationships over politics.

Who This Group Is For

  • People who feel anxious, angry, or isolated because of politics.

  • Those who want to understand themselves and others better.

  • Anyone open to practicing curiosity, compassion, and new ways of communicating.

Key Commitment

This group is not about debating who’s right or wrong. It’s about understanding, practicing nonviolent communication, and healing the divide so we can live, work, and relate to each other without hatred or violence.
